Change British Politics For Good
C'mon, you have to admit it that Nigel is pretty Nifty on his feet!!
Nigel On Boris (00:28)
"Boris did something that I hope he sticks with. If not, he will come to regret because he made two big statements on Sunday:
1) One that we would absolutely leave next year, but
2) secondly, and more importantly, that we now get on negotiate a free trade deal along the lines of Canada without any political alignment.
He's effectively said, we're tearing up part of that agreement. We're going to change it now. Boris is very good at making promises. Very good at saying, we'll leave on the 31st of October. Come what may do or die, 'I'd rather be dead in a ditch' and all the rest of it..Well, I tell you what we're going to do. I said, look what we're going to do for this election. We will take him at his word, but we will hold him to his word.
Nigel On Labour at (01:40)
"If labor win in the election, they will go back to Brussels, negotiate an even worse deal that has been done by Boris Johnson. They will put it to the country in a referendum. Because remember, as far as labor now concerned, leave voters didn't know what they were voting for. How patronizing can you be? I mean, gosh, we're going to teach them a lesson for that. ..... I mean, you simply couldn't make this stuff up, but it is a complete betrayal. But the labor policy, all their senior figures said during the referendum, after the referendum, and indeed in their election manifesto, they said they would honor the result of the referendum and they have, "I put it to you completely betrayed the trust of labor voters in this country. And we're going to stand against every single one of them."
Nigel on Labour's 5 Million (03:21)
5 million, 5 million labor voters. And many of them would never ever vote for the conservative party as long as they live, but they will vote for the Brexit party. And our strongest goals in those European elections were in the strongest old labor-areas of this country. So we're fighting a very serious campaign. We're taking on labor and all the remainers and it isn't just Brexit. We need because what I've seen this week in my dealings with the conservative policy is a political policy like labor who wants to get a form of Brexit and then they want everything to go back to the way that it was before all country, all democracy, the way this system works now needs absolutely fundamental reform, fundamental reform,
Nigel on being a LORD (04:27)
"The very fact, the very fact this government think they can buy me off with a peerage. So I'll simply go quietly tells me two things.
Firstly, by the way, I'm not for sale. I keep telling them I've got principles. I'm not for sale, but it tells me, it tells me that actually, this whole system where people get appointed to the house of Lords is a form of political corruption. It's the kind of thing I'd expect to see in South America. And the slogan that we loaded the Brexit party on, I can see one being held out there. I'm one held out there and one held out there. What did you, Oh hold them up. Because we want to change politics for good, and we can only do that by getting Brexit party MPS into the house of commons.
We want to hold Boris Johnson till his promise, and then let's transform the political landscape. Let's re-establish trust between voters and those that represent us. And let's start to believe in our great country and our great people.
